A partnership to keep Helios free, for everyone.
Helios and Helios Forecast are free and open source. To keep them 100% free, I'm looking for hardware manufacturers who share that vision.

Helios was born from one conviction: a home's energy should be visible, understandable, and open to everyone, with no barrier. The card and the forecast integration are, and will stay, entirely free and open source. But maintaining them, growing them, and supporting the community takes a great deal of time. A partnership with a manufacturer is, to me, the best way to preserve that, free for everyone, with nothing ever locked behind a paywall.
I install it in a real Home Assistant setup: integration, configuration, data. You get honest, detailed technical feedback.
I check how it works with the Home Assistant Energy dashboard, with Helios and with Helios Forecast: clean, consistent data from end to end.
An article on the blog, a place in Helios. Careful, hands-on content for an audience already invested in solar and home automation.
Helios and Helios Forecast reach a growing community of Home Assistant users who care about energy and solar, a technical, demanding audience that takes its buying decisions seriously.
I test for real, and I say what works as clearly as what doesn't. That honesty is what earns the community's trust, and I'll never trade it away. No fake reviews, no soft soap.
I'm Jérôme, 44, the developer behind Helios. After years spent across the whole stack, backend, frontend, 3D, games, embedded, I wanted to build something that truly matters to me.
A card won't save the planet, I know. But guilt and numbers nobody reads change no one: we change when we can finally see what's happening in our own home. That's the whole point of Helios: make energy visible, tangible, even beautiful, so that acting stops being a chore and becomes the obvious thing to do.
Helios is free and open source, built by a single person, in full transparency.
Helios is an independent community project. It is not created or endorsed by, nor affiliated with, the Open Home Foundation or Home Assistant. Home Assistant and the Home Assistant logo are trademarks of the Open Home Foundation.
